John Anderson – CMA Theater

Win two tickets to American Currents Live: An Evening with John Anderson at CMA Theater on August 8th.

Florida-born singer-songwriter John Anderson has been making music in Nashville for nearly fifty years.

With his distinctive voice and hits such as “I’m Just an Old Chunk of Coal (But I’m Gonna Be a Diamond Someday)” and “Swingin’,” he helped usher in country music’s neotraditionalist movement of the 1980s. His hot streak continued into the 1990s with “Straight Tequila Night,” “Seminole Wind,” and “Money in the Bank.”

Anderson is featured in the latest installment of American Currents, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s annual exhibit documenting the past year in country music. On August 8, he will kick off the “American Currents Concert Series” with a performance in the CMA Theater.
