Beloved market jock and world-class morning talent, Rick Marino, provides a friendly and familiar voice while delivering the “Most Music in the Morning” (Weekdays 5-10am). Marino is a proven market-share performer and multiple-A.I.R. Awards recipient, who is sure to please. Marino has been a fixture on the Nashville air waves since 1994.
Born in Hollywood, California to a very musical family, Marino was destined for radio stardom…although not in the way he originally envisioned. His “long and winding road” in entertainment began as a musician, traveling from place to place as a keyboard player, singer/songwriter and vocalist. His path, guided by his passion for music and outgoing personality, took an unexpected turn to radio…and the rest, as they say, is history.
As a history lover, Marino couldn’t be more thrilled or humbled to work on a heritage station like 95.5-FM WSM. “It’s a dream come true,” say Marino and certainly, a far cry from Simi Valley. But when Marino is not ON-THE-AIR, he enjoys boating, reading American History (especially Civil War history) or listening to music, making Nashville a perfect fit for Rick Marino and his family.
