Cumulus Media Nashville is currently accepting applications for internships within the Promotions Department.
The internship is under the Promotions Director, Cori Vallentine. It is an unpaid internship and candidates must currently be enrolled in college and will receive school credit for the internship.
Internship Description: Interns will be asked to assist in the day-to-day tasks within the promotions department, including creating proposals, preparing for events and remotes, attending and assisting with station events and remotes, assisting with contesting, and learning how to present the stations in a positive manner.
Candidates must possess an enthusiastic and eager attitude about promotions and radio, strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, basic computer skills, and exceptional attention to detail. Ideal candidates will be outgoing, comfortable in many situations and environments, and be experienced with social media outlets.
Throughout the course of the internship, the intern will be asked to work with individuals from several departments within Cumulus Media Nashville. The internship is based on an all around learning experience of not only what roles the promotions department plays within the company, but how different departments work together. Interns should expect to leave knowing more about the radio business and how each department functions within it. If you want to work, learn, and gain experience within the radio business, this is the internship for you.
Eligible candidates must be available 8-15 hours a week.
The following are the requirements for the Cumulus Media Nashville internship:
-Junior year status or higher
-2.5 GPA or higher
-One letter of recommendation
-Verification of class credit for internship and school transcript
