Both Maren Morris and her ex-husband Ryan Hurd are releasing new music on the same day this week. On Friday (October 25), Morris is set to release her new single, “People Still Show Up,” while Hurd is sharing his brand new song, “This Party Sucks.” The one-time couple – who share custody of their 4-year-old son Hayes – filed for divorce back in October 2023, and they now will be competing for the attention of country music fans this week. Hurd was technically the first to announce his new single in an Instagram post on Monday (October 21), which features a photo of the singer holding up a cardboard sign with the song’s title written on it, playing off the popular internet meme. Morris followed-up with her own song announcement on Instagram on Tuesday (Oct. 22), with the title of her track written out in a colorful, retro-looking font. (Billboard)
