Ashley Mann

Ashley Mann – “The Nashville Buzz” heard on 95.5 FM WSM, Nashville’s #1 for Country!

If a love for country music is genetic, then Ashley Mann is the poster child for the format.  Her grandfather toured alongside the legendary Roy Acuff.  Not falling too far from the family tree, Ashley’s musical career took root as a working actress in Regional Theatre…but eventually grew into a singer-songwriter.   She now considers herself a graduate of Music Row, where she worked professionally for years with Country Music’s top writers, singers and producers.

Ashley’s career path led her to Los Angeles to work for Reba McEntire at Starstruck Films.  While in L.A., she took a side gig in promotions at a station–so began her love for radio.  Although she returned to Nashville to continue her own musical pursuits, Mann maintained jobs with radio, working in radio sales until she was offered a label deal with Curb Records as an artist/songwriter in 2000.

Experienced behind the scenes and behind the microphone, Ashley continued to excel in both arenas.  She was produced by such recording icons as Billy Joe Walker, Jr., Matt Rollings, Don Cook and Kenny Greenberg, had her own songs recorded by other artists, and sang in national ad campaigns (including jingles for Dr. Pepper). In 2005, she even produced and distributed her first nationally syndicated radio show, “A Country Christmas.”

Her “insider” experience as an artist, coupled with her passion for radio make Ashley the perfect host of “The Nashville Buzz” (Weekdays from 5 – 10 a.m.), bringing you the latest entertainment news from Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee and providing her own, unique perspective.
